  • Breakdowns are one of the important factors that cause of efficiency losses in industrial plants
  • The evolution of maintenance from the past to the present is shaped to prevent these losses
  • Initially, breakdown maintenance were used with reactive approaches against these losses
  • Then, proactive approaches were adopted instead of reactive approaches
  • With the introduction of proactive approaches, time-based and counter-based maintenance came forward
  • Afterwards, condition-based maintenance was started with the need to optimise the maintenance-repair operations
  • With the integration of Industry 4.0 and digitalisation has been possible that online  monitoring of machine and equipment conditions, matching of data received from equipment with process data, analysing data using artificial intelligence and algorithms, and estimating equipment life and optimising maintenance and repair operations
  • We call this integration smart maintenance
  • In the scope of this presentation, the case study of smart maintenance will be shared that analysing the vibration and temperature data of flywheel, motor and connecting rod at sheet metal stamping press machines  in Vestel Electronics
