Luciano Massone has been at the FCA Group since 1980 and held many different roles with growing levels of responsibility. He is currently the World Class Manufacturing & Projects Director for the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles EMEA Region. He is in charge for leading the WCM Development Center, all the regional and global programs and projects for Training & Consulting, WCM Research & Innovation and the WCM Suppliers.

Luciano has previously been in charge of the direction, management and control of all the aspects of the WCM system and production results at all Fiat Companies, plants and functions. He was also the responsible for Global Manufacturing Training Unit at Group Level. He organised the Fiat Auto Production System, FAPS. He has been assuring timely and efficient fostering of the cross-functional implementation of WCM best practices and leading the internal/external benchmarking activities. He was also the responsible for Global manufacturing training unit at group level.

Previously, as Vice President of HR at the Headquarters, he directed, managed and controlled all aspects of the definitions and implementation of Fiat Automobiles policies, business models, organisational structures and processes, including a job evaluation system. He also managed and controlled all human resources activities, including, but not limited, to recruitment, training, compensation and people development. Prior to that, Luciano was the Industrial Relations Director where he was responsible for the change of organisation, according to globalisation strategies, and he assured the implementation of local and specific labour agreements in Argentina, Brazil, Poland and Italy.

 In Luciano’s wide-spanning career, he was also responsible at the company level in the Work Organisation for Health and Safety, Environment and he assured the total integration of two divisions, compliance at national level to new EC H&S legislation. Further to this, he has held positions as Manpower Manager, Production Manager and Trade Union Relations Manager.

He is also the author of various publications concerning technical matters since 1999. He speaks Italian, English, French, Spanish and Japanese. Luciano also collaborates with Turin Polytechnic, Warwick University, Windsor and other universities.
