David Dera serves as Senior Managing Director in the Global Strategy Group within Newmark’s Global Corporate Services (GCS) division. He heads our Locations Strategy consulting practice in the EMEA region and advises clients on location strategy, site selection, incentives advisory, supply chain optimization and economic development. David has led numerous location strategy projects for dynamic mid-sized companies as well as multinational firms in the manufacturing sector (esp. automotive, electronics, chemicals, building material) and services (esp. R&D, BPO). His expertise lies in the implementation of complex, large-scale and capital-intensive location strategy projects. From a geographic perspective David focuses on Europe, particularly the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region, as well as for North America and the Middle East. Moreover, David advises economic development organizations (EDOs) and investment promotion agencies (IPAs) on how to strategically position to attract FDI. He developed investment promotion strategies for various public sector clients (states, regions and cities) throughout Europe as well as globally and as a result shaped the influx of foreign investors in key economic hubs. Prior to joining Newmark, David was Head of Global Footprint Advisory at OCO Global advising clients on location strategy, international market expansion and economic development. He was also a Senior Consultant at EAC International Consulting.
